Our Barn and Arena at Cedar Creek Sporthorse FarmOur "Home Sweet Home"

Visit our farm, the coffee is always on!

Our facilities were custom designed for horses with 27 box stalls including 2 foaling stalls.  A very nice indoor arena for working everyone when the weather isn't cooperating or when the young ones need some work without any distractions.  We've tried to keep the rustic look with our cedar rail fencing and rough sawn barn siding.  We hope you can stop in and see us soon.

I have been a life time horse person - Ed has been involved only since acquiring me, ten years ago.  I have always loved the "big horses" and became determined to own a couple after becoming aquainted with a local draft horse enthusiast.  Well, 2 became 10 and 10 soon became 15, and now our herd numbers 29, including 12 Percherons, 2 Appaloosas,  1 Percheron/Morgan/Paint, 1 Paso Fino/Andalusian, 10 Friesian Sporthorse foals, 2 Percheron/Quarter Horse Mares and of course our handsome Friesian Stallion!

Our Driveway at Cedar Creek Sporthorses

Our goal is to breed the best possible Friesian sporthorses that we can,  thereby establishing a reputation of having very high quality animals.  With that in mind, I also want to become active in the dressage arena, not just as a spectator/owner, but as a participant, both  riding and driving.  Our Friesian sporthorses will be ideal for that.

We will continue to screen any prospective mares brought in for breeding and will not breed any mare I consider to be inferior.  Our goal is to build OJ's reputation as a top breeding stallion to the highest possible level.

We are active in the Upper Peninsula Draft Horse club and show our Percherons in vaious fairs and Draft Horse shows.  We are also members of various registries, such as the Friesian Horse Society, the Friesian Sporthorse Registry, the Friesian Blood Horse Registry,  the American Warmblood Society, the Appaloosa Horse Club, the American Paint Horse Association, and the Percheron Horse Association of America.

We have just recently become members of The American Driving Society and the Carriage Association of America, Inc.

We are located 15 miles west of Escanaba in the south Central portion of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on a 35 acre farm.  Stop by and visit us.  Click here for a map or driving directions.
